Area firefighters and paramedics got a crash course in what it might be like to respond to a biological, chemical or nuclear terrorist attack. Emergency personnel from all over the area and state came to Prairie State College Tuesday through Thursday for a three-day course in specific techniques for treating victims of mass destruction. The course was taught by faculty members at Texas A&M University. The traveling program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Full Story
