Al Qaeda in Iraq Monday posted on the Web pictures of identification cards apparently belonging to the chief of the Algerian diplomatic mission in Baghdad who was kidnapped last week. Algerian mission chief Ali Belaroussi and the diplomatic attache were snatched by gunmen in Baghdad Thursday. Al Qaeda said days later it had taken him, but did not say if it had also seized the attache. In the posting on an Islamist Web site, a membership card in the Iraqi Hunting Club carried a picture of Belaroussi with his details written in Arabic. Full Story
