Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai said terrorists such as the London bombers had no link to Islam and were only intent on murder, urging Britons to unite in the fight against them. Speaking after talks with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Karzai also said his government must work in a “sincere and strong manner” with its neighbour Pakistan to secure their borders and root out hardline Islamic schools — allegedly used as training camps for terror groups such as Al-Qaeda.
