A group of South Korean lawmakers on Friday called for the withdrawal of the more than 3,000 South Korean troops in Iraq, citing last week’s attacks on the London transit system. “There is a high possibility that South Korea could be the next target of terrorism,” the group of 31 lawmakers, some of them government supporters, said in a statement. “To prevent terrorist attacks in the country we should get rid of the root cause and the only way to do that is withdrawing troops.” Full Story
