South Korea to hold military talks on border

Officials from the two Koreas will meet next week to try to build trust between two armies that have faced off for decades along the world’s most fortified border, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday. The rare meeting, at colonel-level, is the first in more than a year between the two countries, which remain technically at war half a century after their 1950-53 conflict ended in a truce.
