In its first comprehensive plan for defending US territory since September 11, the Pentagon has reportedly developed a strategy that widens the military’s role in domestic security.The 40-page document titled “Strategy for Homeland Defense and Civil Support,” was approved June 24 by Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England and released last week without any fanfare, The Washington Post reported.
