Bombs Hurt 8 in a Russian Republic

In a sign of the growing instability in the Caucasus region of Russia, four bombs exploded in the southern republic of Dagestan on Saturday. Two of the bombs wounded six police officers in the regional capital, and another derailed a cargo train, injuring two men.
