A four-month-old truce between Israelis and Palestinians looked shakier than ever yesterday after a summit meeting in Jerusalem that both sides described as disappointing and an Israeli media report that the Jewish state had decided to carry out targeted killings of leading Islamic Jihad militants. The summit marked the first face-to-face talks between Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas since February.
