A Russian train returning from the breakaway region of Chechnya has been derailed by an explosion, injuring at least 12 people, Russian officials say.
“There was an explosion on the railway in front of the locomotive,” Diana Shemyakina, a spokeswoman for Russia’s FSB security service, said.
Ms Shemyakina said a one-metre deep crater and wires were found at the site, 153km (95 miles) from Moscow. Officials were treating the incident as a suspected act of terrorism. Full Story
