An Iraqi Shiite leader urged the Sunni Arab minority to temper its claims to representation on a key panel charged with drafting a new constitution, as 11 more bodies were found in a rebel bastion near the Syrian border. “I hope this demand will not prevent them from participating,” said Sheikh Sadreddin Kubbanji of the the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, a Shiite religious party that is a key faction in the governing coalition. “It is possible to find a solution while keeping the nation’s general interest in mind,” he said.Full Story
