Another cop gunned down in northern Mexico
Gunmen killed a Nuevo Laredo precinct police chief in front of his 9-year-old daughter on Thursday outside his home, authorities said. They said the slaying of chief Enrique Cardenas as he was about to take the girl to school was the sixth of a police officer in the northern border city. It came the day after another commander, Samuel Alvarado, was wounded in an attempted hit by a group of unidentified gunmen. Full Story
