A bold and deadly attack by Colombia’s main rebel group on the leaders of this sweltering town has revived fears that the country’s leftist guerrillas are once again targeting politicians in small towns nationwide. Rebels from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, armed with grenades and assault rifles, barged into a town council meeting here Tuesday afternoon and killed six people, including five town councilors, authorities say.
