Hundreds of armed police and army soldiers on Tuesday surrounded a Sudanese refugee camp south of Khartoum, where at least 17 police and residents died in clashes last week. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Gader Arbab, a lawyer chosen by the people of Soba Aradi as their spokesman, said the armed forces had sealed off the area, about 30 km (19 miles) south of the Sudanese capital Khartoum.
