An al-Qaida suspect claiming to be British has been arrested in Pakistan following a raid on a house near the city of Peshawar in the North-West Frontier Province. A man calling himself Shahzad was held on Sunday, police and intelligence officials said. The 25-year-old was from London but had a Pakistani identity card, Reuters reported. However, police suspect he is using a false name. Last night, the British high commission in Islamabad could not confirm his identity. “We have some reports from the Pakistani authorities that we are looking into,” said a spokesman.Full Story
