Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said the world needs to do more to address the root causes of terrorism, such as poverty and neglect. Addressing the Singapore Press Club on Wednesday, Mr Aziz voiced satisfaction with Pakistan’s progress in fighting terror and reiterated its commitment towards battling it. He is in Singapore on the last stop of his four-Asian nation trip which has also taken him to Brunei, Malaysia and Thailand. Mr Aziz himself had been the target of an assassination attempt last July which left some 10 people dead, including the suicide bomber. Full Story
