Despite the recent slew of unfavorable travel advisories, international anti-terrorism experts recognize the efforts of the Philippines in fighting terrorism, Malacañang said yesterday. Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said he met last week with Australian intelligence officials, who expressed satisfaction over the country’s efforts to fight terrorism. “They said they were impressed with what we’re doing so I think these travel advisories may not be accurate,” he said, without naming the officials.
