Authorities in southeast Congo have arrested scores of people, including soldiers, politicians and presidential guards, on suspicion of plotting to separate mineral-rich Katanga province from the rest of the country, officials said Monday. The arrests in Katanga, which seceded temporarily from the newly independent state of Congo in 1960, came as President Joseph Kabila visited the region. Full Story
