The prosecution and defence lawyers handling Zacarias Moussaoui, the Al-Qaeda member who has admitted being a September 11 plotter, want to start his sentencing hearings in January, they announced. Court authorities said the two sides had proposed that the penalty phase of Moussaoui’s trial start on January 9, 2006 with the selection of a jury. The case hearings would start on February 6, 2006.
