Thousands of South Korean troops in northern Iraq remained on a higher security alert, the day after a suicide bombing killed scores of people there, the defence ministry told AFP. “The security alert has been raised by one notch to ‘red’ from ‘amber’ following the incident. Our troops remain on a higher security on Thursday,” a defence ministry official said speaking on condition of anonymity.
