Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom reiterated hope that Israel’s upcoming pullout from the Gaza Strip could lead to a breakthrough in its diplomatic relations with the Arab world. “It will be undoubtedly much easier to forge diplomatic relations with other Arab countries after our withdrawal from Gaza,” Shalom told public radio on Wednesday, the day after a visit to Mauritania which is one of only three Arab countries to have diplomatic relations with Israel.Full Story
