Bomb blasts have struck the main airport, a department store and a hotel in Thailand’s south, killing at least two people and wounding several dozen, officials said, in attacks that raised concerns that Muslim insurgents are expanding their field of operations. Several foreigners were among those wounded in the explosions late Sunday in Songkhla province, just north of the three southern-most provinces where an Islamic insurgency has raged since early last year, officials said.
