Tacoma police evacuated a downtown office building Wednesday afternoon after what turned out to be a homemade bomb was found out front. According to police spokesman Mark Fulghum, police were called to an office building in the 1000 block of South L Street, where someone had found a bag on the building’s porch. Police evacuated the building and called in their bomb squad, which dispatched a robot to move the bag away from the building. The item was “rendered safe,” about three hours later, Fulghum said, but he could not elaborate. Full Story
