Britain is shutting its embassy in Ivory Coast and advising its citizens to leave the West African country as fears grow of a fresh outbreak of hostilities there, the Foreign Office Web site says. “This decision is mainly due to the uncertain security situation and our inability to protect staff or British nationals should there be another outbreak of violence,” the UK minister for Africa, Chris Mullin, said in a statement posted on the Web site.
