IN A NEW campaign of terror, the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has sent out orders to bombers to blow up crowded places in Metro Manila and in a city in Mindanao in the last week of this month. The plotters included elements within the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), one of whom was paid P100,000 to help carry out the attacks. Captured Indonesian bombing suspect Rohmat, also known as Zaki, made these disclosures in one of the rare interviews which the military allowed media to have with suspected terrorists. According to Rohmat, top ASG leader Khadafy Janjalani and Commander Abu Solaiman gave the orders for such attacks sometime during the first week of March. Full Story
