Shiites Protest Suicide Blast In Baghdad

More than 2,000 Shiites marched Friday through Baghdad, with some breaking into the Jordanian Embassy and raising the Iraqi flag atop it, to protest the alleged involvement of a Jordanian in Iraq’s single deadliest suicide bombing — a Feb. 28 attack south of Baghdad that killed 125 people. Two years after the United States invaded Iraq, Shiite and Kurdish negotiators are nearing an agreement on forming a coalition government and will reconvene the National Assembly on March 26 to elect a president and his council, an official said.
