Palestinian Groups Agree A Calm Until End Of 2005
Palestinian militant groups agreed to extend a period of calm until the year’s end in exchange for a halt to Israeli “aggressions”, according to an official statement that was issued at the close of three-day talks. “The participants have reached an agreement on a political programme until the end of the current year which states their commitment to respecting the atmosphere of calm currently prevailing in exchange for an end to aggressions against our people,” the final statement said Thursday.
