A man who committed suicide during a routine traffic stop near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, left a note claiming responsibility for killing the husband and mother of a federal judge in Chicago, police sources said Thursday. The sources identified the man as Bart Ross, saying he had appeared before U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow in the past. But local and federal authorities released little information about the case, stressing it is still under investigation. “We have not definitively tied this individual to the Lefkow murders,” said James Finch, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Milwaukee office.
