A Shiite imam associated with the rebel cleric Moktada al-Sadr was shot and killed by gunmen on Friday night as he drove to a mosque in the capital’s volatile Doura neighborhood, officials said Saturday. An Iraqi relief agency official was killed Saturday in the same area, the police said. The cleric, Sheik Saad Kamil, was attacked by gunmen in two cars, a black Honda and a red Opel, as he arrived at the Kadmenain Mosque, Interior Ministry officials said.
