The Indiana State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team is now better equipped to serve Hoosiers in finding, investigating and disposing of hazardous devices. “With money from a Homeland Security grant, the department purchased the high-tech equipment required for team members to safely do their job,” said Indiana State Police Trooper Richard Myers. The grant, totaling $886,000, was used to purchase bomb search suits, response vehicles, portable x-ray units, specialized hand tools and a variety of other equipment to assist team members in the investigation of suspicious devices.
