POLICE and Army units in Cebu and the rest of the Visayas have been placed “at the highest level of alert” following bloody bombings in the cities of Makati, Davao and General Santos that killed 11 people on Valentine’s Day. Security has been beefed up in bus terminals, seaports, airports, shopping malls and other crowded areas that are possible targets of terrorist attacks. Policemen are under orders to conduct checkpoints on all roads leading to airports and seaports, said Chief Supt.
