Lebanon’s former prime minister Rafiq Hariri was killed in a huge explosion in central Beirut, hospital sources and Lebanese television stations said. Witnesses said a convoy of vehicles, which television stations said was that of Hariri, was passing when the explosion occurred in a seafront area of the capital. Hariri, 60, died of his injuries from the blast, said sources at the American University Hospital. At least six people were killed as the huge blast ripped through the seafront area of the Lebanese capital, the private television channel LBC reported. Full Story
