A car bomb exploded outside a Shiite mosque northeast of Baghdad today, killing 12 people, while 10 people died after masked gunmen fired into a crowd at a bakery in a mostly Shiite area of the capital, officials said. The explosion in Balad Ruz, 45 miles northeast of Baghdad, took place as services at the mosque ended. Seventeen people were wounded, an Interior Ministry spokesman said.
