Ontario International Airport (ONT) will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise to test the effectiveness of the airport’s emergency plan, provide a realistic training scenario for emergency response personnel, and determine the effectiveness of outside agency capabilities in response to an aircraft emergency. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires FAA certificated airports such as ONT to hold an exercise a minimum of once every three years to review and evaluate the airport’s ability to respond to an actual emergency.
