Goa government sacked after vote

The government of the western Indian state of Goa has been sacked by the governor soon after it won a controversial confidence vote. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party won the vote by a majority of just one. The main opposition Congress party said the speaker had sided with the BJP by disqualifying an independent lawmaker.
