A bomb exploded outside a noodle shop in Thailand’s largely Muslim south on Sunday, killing one person and wounding 58, including six children, police said. It was the first fatal bombing this year in Muslim-dominated southern regions of the mainly Buddhist country, where almost daily violence last year killed security forces and civil servants of both religions. Policeman Kiart Pattana, of Muang district in Yala province, said the injured were rushed to hospital where one of them died.
