Antiterrorism officials are planning a series of drills to test Boston’s readiness for an attack, ending in May with the simulated hijacking of a United Airlines flight from Europe that is forced to land at Logan International Airport, officials said yesterday. Dubbed Operation Atlas, the drills will involve some 50 local, state, and federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, which will lead a series of meetings to brainstorm and act out potential terrorist attacks. Officials said they want to find and close gaps in city, state, and federal emergency responses.
