At least six people were seriously wounded in a grenade blast in India’s northeastern state of Assam, officials said. A police spokesman said suspected militants belonging to the outlawed United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) lobbed a grenade into a crowded marketplace in the eastern district of Jorhat, 310 kilometers (193 miles) from Assam’s main city of Guwahati.
