FAA to restrict Inauguration Day airspace

The airspace around Washington will be severely restricted for eight hours for the presidential inauguration day, with private planes forbidden to fly within 23 miles of the capital’s three major airports. The Federal Aviation Administration announced that it will expand the no-fly zone, now a 15-3/4-mile radius around the Washington Monument, to a 23-mile radius around Reagan National, Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International airports.
