Colombian and U.S. forces are guarding on a Colombian warship in the Pacific Ocean a key woman leftist guerrilla prisoner whom her comrades want to kill because she knows too much, the local press reported Monday. The Bogota daily El Tiempo, Colombia’s biggest-circulation newspaper, said Anayibe Rojas was transferred from jail to the ship because Marxist rebel commanders had ordered her rubbed out. A hit squad with some $200,000, presumably to be used to bribe prison authorities to gain access to her, had departed from its base in the southern jungles prior to her relocation, the paper said.
