UN tsnuami snub harms peace process: Tamil Tigers
Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka are warning harm has been done to the country’s peace process, after the UN secretary-general did not visit survivors of the tsunami disaster in rebel-held areas. United Nations chief Kofi Annan has met with Sri Lankan Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe of the United National Party. He also met with two members of the Tamil National Alliance, who are widely regarded as proxies of Tiger rebels. Full Story
