A second letter containing a suspicious substance was discovered in Pocatello, an FBI official said. Investigators believe the letter is related to a letter found earlier at Gateway Station. A hazardous material team responded to the postal facility on Dec. 27 in accordance with current U.S. Postal Service protocol. Pocatello Postmaster Bruce Wiese said while postal operations were delayed workers were never in danger. Pocatello police Lt. Brad Hunt said in an earlier interview that initial lab tests concluded the substance was not anthrax. FBI Supervisor Dominic Venturi said the second letter was discovered within days of the first which was addressed to a current residence in Rexburg and contained a letter claiming the powder substance was anthrax.
