Peace talks between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) would resume in February next year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, presidential adviser on the peace process Teresita Deles announced yesterday. The breakthrough was reached during exploratory talks between the two panel’s negotiating teams in Malaysia last Tuesday night, according to Deles. “We are confident that the resumption of talks is a big step towards the forging of peace with the MILF soon,” Deles said in a telephone interview with reporters.
