Local police and FBI agents are investigating a bomb-threat made in Minnesota that led to the emergency evacuation of a downtown church Wednesday night. Rochester police received a call from the FBI’s Boston office just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday warning that explosives might be used against the First Church Congregational, located at 63 South Main St. The Boston office of the FBI received the call from the Minnesota FBI office, which received word of the threat from a Minnesota-based Internet provider. That Internet provider received the telephone threat which specifically targeted the downtown church, but the rest of the threat was vague, according to police. Full Story
