State-owned giant Saudi Aramco said on Saturday it remained “on alert at all times” to secure the world’s biggest oilfields, after Osama bin Laden urged militants to attack Iraqi and Gulf oil facilities. “As the company responsible for the world’s largest proven reserves of oil, Saudi Aramco is keenly aware of its responsibility (to protect workers and oilfields),” Aramco said in a statement responding to questions from Reuters.
