Italy has handed over to Spain an Egyptian man suspected of playing a key role in the Madrid train bombings. Rabei Osman Sayed Ahmed, who was in custody in Rome, was surrendered to Spanish police on Tuesday evening. Spanish security agents accompanied him on an Iberian airways flight to Madrid, Spain’s EFE news agency reported. taly’s Supreme Court last week agreed to extradite Mr Ahmed, regarded in Spain as the “brain” behind the March attacks.
