Rwanda has vowed to attack a Rwandan rebel group in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Nations said on Wednesday, warning such a move would be a serious threat to stability in Congo.”The United Nations cannot accept this kind of threat and the reaction of the international community will be very firm,” said Patricia Tome, spokeswoman for the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Congo. Rwandan officials said FDLR rebels were advancing toward the border from bases in Congo, and Kigali would use any means necessary to repel them.
