Police fired tear gas at demonstrators who hurled rocks and bottles at the U.S. Embassy in Athens on Wednesday during a rally against the war in Iraq. Dozens of youths, wearing scarves and crash helmets, clashed with riot police. At least 25 were detained, police said. There were no immediate reports of injuries. A downtown branch of Citibank was damaged by a firebomb, while protesters set fire to trash bins near the embassy. Two other Greek banks were also damaged.Full Story
