Attackers wielding automatic weapons ambushed two police officers outside a kindergarten in this border town, injuring both, officials said. Officers Elda Montelongo and Ismael Reyes were responding to an emergency call Wednesday night in Nuevo Laredo when assailants riding in a car opened fired with assault rifles.
