A group led by al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi claimed responsibility on Saturday for a suicide car bombing which killed three British troops in Iraq on Thursday. “A lion of the martyrs battalion attacked a British military convoy south of Baghdad,” the Al Qaeda Organization of Holy War in Iraq said in a statement dated Nov. 5 and posted on a Web site often used by Islamists. “We will not let the infidels have homes in our land and we will strike with an iron fist against all those who enter our country to fight us,” the group said.Full Story
