Panama may join Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela in the G-3 Free Trade Agreement, further regional economic cooperation, Venezuela’s foreign minister said. Panamanian membership will be discussed during next month’s summit being held in Colombia among Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and their Panamanian counterpart, Martin Torrijos, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jesus Perez said in a press statement.
